Is it better to confront a manipulator and liar or be true to who you are?

As we are pushed to let go of what doesn't serve us anymore and align ourselves to a higher perspective. These simple things present themselves in our lives to see life and our experiences from a higher perspective and make changes in our reactions, processing and how we live our lives. This is just one question for you to ponder on.

Do you ever get so caught up in other people's manipulations, lies and dramas they create, that you end up stepping out of your core values that make you who you are? You end up stepping into their space and rattling your own sense of being. We can't control others but only how we react to them. Sometimes you just can't win with certain people, you can't highlight their shadow behaviour or have a rational conversation about a problem with them. Sometimes the best plan is to not engage in their attempts at all and move past it. You can try to calmly address the issue and usually a volcano erupts, because all of a sudden, they are caught out in their manipulation or lie. They then create the "how dare you!" drama and now they are the victim. You personally are then taken down a road of having to prove your right, feeling anger, frustration and you walk away an emotional wreak. It's a win for them and a big loss for you.

But, if you remain true to your kind self, have an inner knowing of who you are and what is right, step back and not directly confront. Then, don't be swayed by their attempts to manipulate and not engage with their attempted lies. Then they will sense you're seeing right through them. You're also not verbally confronting them which gives them the ammunition to create the victim drama. Also, your allowing others to see through their manipulations and lies. Most people like this, others see them clearly, because it's a trait they have.

At the end of it you have held your space, haven't compromised your inner being and what you stand for. Those who lie and manipulate are led by their egos, and others see straight through it. So, allowing them to feel they have won small battles allows you at the end of the day to win the war on holding your light, inner truth, self-dignity, resilience and integrity, compassion, kindness and love. These virtues should always win the war. Allow yourself to be true to your path and who you are but also allow them the lessons and path they need to walk. What is your opinion on this?
